What is Movember?
Movember is a global movement, raising awareness and funds for men’s health. Since 2003, Movember has funded over 1300 health projects globally, focusing on three main aspects of men’s health:
- Mental health & suicide prevention
- Prostate cancer
- Testicular cancer
The Facts*
- 3 out of 4 suicides in Canada are by men
- 1 in 8 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer
- Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men aged 15–39
- 44% of Canadian men die prematurely—before age 75—from causes that could largely be prevented with timely healthcare
With continuous funding, education, and awareness, Movember is helping live longer, healthier lives by advocating for early detection and health reforms.
