DOVO has once again raised the bar with its most recent creation – the Straight Edge Diamond.

Entirely unique, this one-of-a-kind piece is unlike any other razor created. Defined by its opulence, it boasts 225 sparkling diamonds, grade 5 titanium, and RWL-34 stainless powder steel.

Only one unit has been produced which took one and a half years to design before reaching the final product.

The luxury models comes with a luxury cost, retailing for $42,655.00 euros (about $62,465 CAD)! It ships with a DOVO badger hair shaving brush and a razor and brush stand.

Design

Working in collaboration with Petr Hofman, a renowned knife maker in the Czech Republic, DOVO set out to create a razor that pushed the boundaries of the the ordinary.

Crafted entirely by hand using traditional methods, the manufacturing was done without the aid of computer operated machines.

Materials

As you would imagine, only the highest-quality raw materials were meticulously selected for use.

RWL-34 stainless powder steel (62 HRC) was chosen for the blade.
The remaining parts of the razor, as well as the shaving brush and stands, were made of grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). This was selected as it is tougher and stronger than pure titanium. yield point.

Some parts that particularly stand out are the spacer, the feet of the stand and the transport box said to be crafted from preserved mammoth ivory from the last Ice Age.

The razor’s tang and packaging box use ebony wood with deep and rich black hue.

Finally, 225 brilliant cut diamonds were individually set in palladium and placed in an intricate pattern over a period of 18 months.
