History

Speick Plant
The Speick soap is the original, hallmark product of the Speick brand. Formulated since 1928, this legendary soap is enjoyed by men and women for its cleansing power and nourishing properties.

Known as Valeriana Celtica, the Speick plant has been used for centuries in cosmetics. Said to be popular in the Roman Empire, it was incorporated into perfumes, balms, and herbal baths.

Today, the Speick plant is hand-harvested by licensed alpine farmers in Austria. Carefully gathered during a traditional 30-day period, the plant is then dried in specially designed barns before essential oils are drawn out to be incorporated into one of the many Speick products.
