Fendrihan would like to congratulate renowned Japanese blacksmith, Mr. Ryoichi Mizouchi, on his recent MITSUI Golden Takumi Award.
Working under Mr. Iwasaki gaining years of experience and invaluable skills and knowledge, Mr. Mizouchi is one of the most sought-after blacksmiths. Ensuring precision and a high-quality standard of each item that is produced, his exceptional attention to detail and creative passion sets his work apart. He is currently a lead craftsman for the Sanjo Seisakusho Company in Japan handcrafting the Iwasaki Japanese Kamisori Straight Razor collection.
His unmatched talent has won him global praise and numerous awards, including being acknowledged as a Master of Traditional Crafts by the Japanese government in 2014. Mr. Mizouchi is also a key mentor for aspiring blacksmith who wish to continue this prestigious trade.
Recently, he was selected as a recipient of the MITSUI Golden Takumi Awards, given to craftsmen who dedicate their trade to the production of traditional items for the modern world using original techniques.
