Ach Brito
Established in 1918, the Ach Brito soap factory was founded by two brothers in Portugal to offer quality and handcrafted products.
In 1925, they took over an existing soap factory – Claus & Schweder – after its founders, two Germany expats, returned to Germany. Rebranding as Claus Porto by Ach, they wanted to maintain brand consistency.
Specializing in different products, Ach. Brito created sub brands to help identify its various collections. The Luxo-Banho brand was registered in 1927 followed by the Patti and Lavanda brands in 1929. These remain some of the most requested collections. They also feature the original packaging designs as a tribute to their rich heritage.
Claus Porto
Hand-crafted and hand-packaged, the Claus Porto soap collection redefines excellence. With over 130 years of experience passed down through four generations, the impressive collection hails from Portugal and is defined by its simple elegance. Distinct packaging and scents hailing straight form the gardens of Portugal are among the brand’s signature features.
Founded by Claus and Georges Schweder in 1887, the German nationals opened the first national soap factory while living in Porto, Portugal. After The beginning of WWI forced the team to split and was soon acquired by Arch Brito.
Musgo Real
In 1939, the company used the name Musgo Real to expand its collection, offering grooming and shaving products, ranging from shaving creams and soaps to after shaves and after shave balms. The line was recently relaunched as part of a re-branding but still contains the same great products that are available around the world.
